Ill Manors e-media: website analysis

What examples can you find of the Ill Manors brand on the Ill Manors website homepage screen grab above?

The ill manors logo is seen on the left corner of the website, which is an iconic image as it is seen across many of the different types of media platforms such as the trailer, the album, film posters etc.

How does the website encourage the audience to buy or interact with Ill Manors products?
Things like graffiti would allow viewers to associate their lives with those in the picture because they may use the cans to spray paint walls and damage society and this links to stereotypes in society as it links to a clear image which is viewed clearly by members of society.

Look at Plan B's official website. How does it use social media in terms of content and design?

The website features all its social media links on the top right of the page in addition generally the whole page focuses on links to Plan B himself, his music and most of the links are from Plan B's you tube page which are embedded and ready to watch.

Scroll back through the wall to look at posts from around the release date of Ill Manors. How does this statement on Ill Manors link to other texts we have studied as part of this case study? Do you agree with his claim that he "won't justify" the riots?

In this article we see Plan B's true ideological beliefs being represented and it does not do what we expected. Plan B mainly depicts his views on the riots in a more complex way as he is almost acknowledging the reasons in which why people were rioting and their rage and anger for the government and the lack of opportunities they have.

Why do you think social media is overtaking official websites in terms of film promotion?
I believe that social media is overtaking official websites because nowadays anyone can make a compelling argument over social media whether that is on YouTube or twitter people can express their opinions however outrageous they same, in comparison to a official website where comments are viewed and can be deleted.
