ill manors print: branding



  1. What are the key conventions that help you identify the print text (e.g. title, central image, review quotes etc.)? 
  2. What design features help identify the Ill Manors brand?
  3. What examples of synergy can you find with the broadcast platform or other print examples?
There is synergy between the DVD Extras and this movie poster, mainly because they both illustrate the films slogan in a manner which is considered significant to the audience.

The design features include the logo that is presented at the centre which would suggest that it would be the main focus point on the film. Inn addition to this, Riz Ahmed is present which could suggest that his character is a part of the branding for Ill Manors.

release date is clearly presented as well as the synergy presented throughout the trailer as well as the print advertisements.

 The synergy is explored with Riz Ahmed as he is seen on the Ill Manors Website as well as the fact that he is in more than one film which helps the audience identify him with his other projects.

The use of the 'ill' being written in the same format and same font as the other print designs makes it easily identifiable and makes it clear this print example is mainly aiming at attracting Plan B's fans, more so the terrific effect used where Riz Ahmed is seen vomiting into the words 'ILL' signal a great transitional effect.
